For all sales outside the European Union, the prices are displayed excluding taxes on the site. You will therefore have to pay customs fees when the package enters its destination country.
These customs charges concern two different taxes:
- The VAT: local tax which will be paid when the parcel is delivered and which will be collected by the carrier. This 20% tax is calculated on the total value of the shipment (including the cost of the purchase + insurance + transport + customs duties if any).
- Customs duties (generally between 0 and 20%): the amount is calculated according to the customs value (including the cost of the purchase + insurance + transport), the classification of the product and its country of origin. For example, in France only imported products with a value of €150 or more are subject to customs duties.
Customs duties are therefore difficult to calculate in advance, but the more expensive the product, the higher they will be.
The particular case of the United Kingdom
For all orders placed on the site, if the amount is less than £135, the prices on the site are inclusive of all taxes. Possible customs charges may apply depending on the product shipped.
If the amount is more than £135, 20% VAT will be payable on delivery of the package. This will be collected directly by the UK under BREXIT regulations.
Amount of the order | Prix affiché sur le site |
Order less than 135£ | Price incl. VAT = no VAT to be paid but possible customs charges |
Order more than 135£ | Price excl. VAT = 20% VAT to be paid on delivery + possible customs duties |
